Sai Dharam Tej’s younger brother Panjaa Vaishnav Tej is making his debut with the film Uppena. It was supposed to hit the screens on April 2nd this year but eventually, the release was postponed due to the lockdown. After that, the makers didn’t release it on any digital platform as they wanted to go for a theatrical release. The latest we hear is that Netflix has bagged the streaming rights of this movie. According to the sources, Netflix paid a fancy amount of price to buy the digital rights of Uppena.
It will stream online after the theatrical release. The theatres have opened now but it takes time to run with a full capacity of audiences. Thus, the makers are planning to release the film during summer next year. Uppena stars Krithi Shetty as the female lead. Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi has played an important role in the movie. It is being directed by debutant Buchi Babu Sana. Meanwhile, Vaishnav Tej also completed shooting for his next film under the direction of Krish Jagarlamudi.
