Actress Meera Chopra became the victim of online trolls for stating she was not the fan of Jr NTR. This all started in an interactive session conducted by Meera under the hashtag AskMeerra on Tuesday. When one of the user asked to describe about Jr NTR, she wrote, “I don’t know him. I am not his fan.” Another user wrote asking her to watch NTR’s films Shakti (2011) and Dammu (2012) and that she would be his fan then, to which Meera replied, “Thank you but not interested.”
However, this candid response from Meera was not taken in the right spirits from the fans of Tarak, who soon started trending hate campaign against Meera by sending abusive and vitriolic attacks on her. However, Meera was not the one to remain meek, she stood her ground and hit back at the trolls and tagged Jr NTR and wrote, “@tarak9999 i didnt kno that ill be called a bitch, whore and a pornstar, just bcoz i like @urstrulyMahesh more then you. And your fans will send my parents such wishes. Do u feel successful with such a fan following? And i hope u dont ignore my tweet!!”

The Bangaram-fame actress continued to question Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava actor on his fans abusive and name-calling threats. She wrote, “Well i didnt know not being somebodys fan was a crime.. i want to say this loud to all the girls that if you are not a fan of @tarak9999 , u could be raped, murdered, gangraped, ur parents could be killed as tweeted by his fans. They r totally spoiling the name of their idol.”

Meera then took screenshots and made a collage of the abusive threats and reported to Hyderabad police and cyber crimes cell urging them to action against cyber–bullying. In fact, she found support from singer Chinamyi Sripaada and other netizens who soon started hashtag #WeSupportMeeraChopra trend. Meanwhile, Jr NTR is yet to give a response on the issue.
