Plot
The film has six different stories and a mobile changes things upside down when the characters in these stories get hold of a crazy mobile which reaches hand to hand one after the other. What is this mobile all about and who are these crazy characters in the story? To know this, you need to watch the film on the big screen.
Performances
Out of all the stories, Sunil gets a meaty role and he does well. His story also has anchor Shyamala in a key role and they as a couple do a very good job with their comedy. Viraj Ashwin is also neat in his role but the story is boring. Payal Rajput also does well in her role and looks gorgeous in one of her songs. The rest of the key cast have done well in their roles. But the best role in the film goes to comedian Srinivasa Reddy who plays a transgender in the film is the best part. He does well with his comedy and emotions at the same time.

Analysis
Maya Petika is about a phone which changes hands one after the other. This is showcased through various stories which are economically in need of money at any cost. The manner in which the mobile changes hands has been showcased in a very entertaining manner.
The stories are relatable and make sure that it connects to everyone who watch the film. But the manner in which the emotions are neglected in the film is the biggest drawback. There is no proper seriousness in the film and things are made light for no reason.
The first half of the film was good with neat comedy and intro of characters are handled well. The film has decent songs but they act as a hindrance. On the other hand, the visuals are good and the moments look rich in the film. The editing in the film is not that great as a few stories should have been cut short as they get dragged for no reason.
But the main problem is the second half as the main plot gets haywire and scenes do not make any sense when it tries to hard to make a difference. In a way the film has a great premise but is spoilt by some silly narration taking this film down in no time.
Bottom Line- Good concept gone wrong
