Matka box office collection day 4
Matka is a Telugu period action drama directed by Karuna Kumar. This Varun Tej film has hit the theaters on November 14, 2024. Inspired by the true story of gambler Ratan Khetri, the movie stars Varun Tej, Meenakshi Chaudhary and Nora Fatehi marking Nora’s Telugu debut. The film produced by Vyra Entertainments and SRT Entertainments depicts the life of ‘Matka’ Vasu, a gambler and gangster in Visakhapatnam from 1958 to 1982.

According to Sacnilk, Matka earned ₹2.12 crore (India net) in its first three days:
– Day 1 (Thursday): ₹0.71 Cr
– Day 2 (Friday): ₹0.66 Cr
– Day 3 (Saturday): ₹0.75 Cr
Day 4’s earnings are estimated at ₹0.05 Cr, making the total ₹2.17 Cr.
Varun Tej plays Vasu who is a gambler and gangster while Meenakshi Chaudhary stars as Sujatha, his love interest. Nora Fatehi appears as Sofia with Saloni Aswani, Satyam Rajesh, P. Ravi Shankar, Kishore, Naveen Chandra and Ajay Ghosh in supporting roles.
The film features music by G.V. Prakash Kumar, cinematography by A. Kishor Kumar and editing by Karthika Srinivas.
Though the film’s unique premise sparked interest, it opened to limited bookings and modest box office growth indicating a mixed audience reception.
