Mathu Vadalara 2, directed by Ritesh Rana, is making waves at the box office. This Telugu crime comedy, a sequel to the 2019 hit Mathu Vadalara, stars Sri Simha Koduri, Satya, and Vennela Kishore, with new cast members Faria Abdullah and Sunil. The film, produced by Clap Entertainment and Mythri Movie Makers, features a soundtrack by Kaala Bhairava and was released on September 13, 2024.

The film’s success is built on the strong foundation laid by its predecessor. Ritesh Rana, known for his distinctive comedic style and clever use of meme culture, returns to direct the sequel. The teaser, released on August 30, 2024, highlighted the film’s humor with clever signboards, hidden references, and pop culture nods.

According to Sacnilk, Mathu Vadalara 2 has performed admirably in its first two days. The film earned approximately ₹2.15 crore on its opening day and ₹3.1 crore on the second day. On the third day, the movie is estimated to have made ₹2.39 crore, bringing the total collection to around ₹7.64 crore.

The sequel continues the story from where the original left off. The protagonists, delivery boys Babu (Sri Simha Koduri) and Yesu (Satya), are now working as special agents under their mentor, Rohini. However, their new roles unexpectedly lead them into the criminal underworld, combining comedy with thrilling elements.

Cast and Crew:

Mathu Vadalara 2 features a talented ensemble. Sri Simha Koduri plays Babu Mohan, Satya portrays Yesu Dasu, and Vennela Kishore is Ravi Teja. Sunil appears as Michael, while Faria Abdullah plays Nidhi, a gun-toting cop. Rohini also has a significant role. The film is produced by Chiranjeevi (Cherry) Pedamallu and Hemalatha Pedamallu, with cinematography by Suresh Sarangam, editing by Karthika Srinivas, and music composed by Kaala Bhairava. The movie is produced by Clap Entertainment in collaboration with Mythri Movie Makers.
