Analysis
Masooda has a very good backdrop. It creates an interesting atmosphere for the audience who are used to watching films with a regular template. Also, Masooda has a very gripping backdrop. Generally in horror films, there is a holy angle related to Hinduism but here in Masooda the film is shown through the eyes of an Muslim family which is the best
One of the major assets of the film is the sound design which is amazing. The camerawork is also astonishing. The pre climax and climax are the ones which are the highlight of the film. The manner in which the director has pulled out performances from the lead cast was good and it is this aspect which holds the attention.
But the film has a slow pace. The makers take forever to enter into the main plot, and this is a big drawback. if they would have edited the film well, the difference would have been even better. But all this is solved in the second half as the film has enough spooky elements that keeps the audience hooked.
Bottom Line – Passable Horror
