Manju Warrier who is basking in the success of Tamil film, Asuran has filed a complaint against director Shrikumar Menon. She has accused  Menon of defaming her through an online campaign against her, adding he abused her on the film sets and she fears for her life. To prove her caims she has produced the digital evidence to the officials.

Investigation officer CD Sreenivasan, Crime Branch ACP, will be recording the statement of the actress once she is back to the town.  “The actress is currently out of the station. The complainant’s statement will be recorded after she is back,” he said. Meanwhile, Menon in  an emotional post reacted to the allegation stating, “…When you left your home stating that you had only Rs 1500 in your bank account, I gave you a cheque for Rs 25 lakh as advance payment for the advertisement. You forgot that you had broken down then, saying that I was God’s messenger to you.”
