These third-party PR agencies reportedly working on Vishnu’s behalf have been accused of issuing fake copyright strikes against YouTube channels and social media accounts on platforms like Instagram and Facebook.
The controversy escalated when Vishnu publicly denied involvement claiming that neither he nor his companies were connected to these actions. However, evidence suggests otherwise, with claims that his team engaged in blackmail tactics. They allegedly threatened to terminate YouTube channels unless positive content about Vishnu’s film, Kannappa was posted.
Furthermore, the situation has reportedly involved harassment with claims that Vishnu’s team called individuals up to 20 times a day pressuring them to remove critical content or face consequences. This aggressive approach has included dubious FIRs filed against critics and attempts to stifle free speech through legal intimidation.
One notable incident involved Chandrahas, who faced aggressive behavior and threats from Vishnu’s surrogates at a police station. These actions including fake copyright claims and harassment, have fueled growing backlash and criticism.
