Sukumar is one of the star directors of the Telugu film industry. His last film Rangasthalam, with Ram Charan, has become a big hit at the box-office. Immediately after the film has become successful, Mahesh Babu offered a chance to the director for an exciting project.
When things were going well, the sudden announcement that Sukumar is directing Allu Arjun’s next created disturbances between Sukumar and Mahesh Babu. Mahesh Babu called off the project, citing the creative differences with Sukumar.
During his speech at the pre-release event of Maharshi, Mahesh made some interesting comments. “I thank Vamsi for waiting 3 years for me on this project. There are directors who move to other heroes when there is a delay of 2 months. But, Vamsi stayed and I am thankful for him.”
