Superstar Mahesh Babu awaits his big release -Maharshi on May 9th. Directed by Vamsi Paidipally, it co-stars Pooja Hegde and Allari Naresh in vital roles. Touted be a social drama, Maharshi trailer created a positive buzz with its storyline and Mahesh dashing looks. As the fans are eagerly awaiting to catch the big release, there’s also a buzz that Maharshi runs on similar lines along with Srimanthudu, directed by Koratal Siva.
Mahesh during promotions when asked about the similarity he ruled out stating, “There is a strong father-son bonding in the film which leads to conflicts as well. But both the stories are as different as chalk and cheese”.

Mahesh adds that I know that comparisons are bound to happen but you have to watch the movie to know the exact difference”.The Bharat Ane Nenu star then goes on to speak how he got impressed with Vamsi’s narration and how the filmmaker as to wait for two years for him. “I was hooked to the storyline and my character as well. But I didn’t have immediate dates and asked Vamsi to wait. He waited for two years for me,” he informs.
