And here comes the interesting nugget of information about Vijay and Puri’s film. Did Vijay Deverakonda say yes to Puri’s film rejected by Mahesh, Chiranjeevi previously? Reportedly, Vijay and Puri Jagan film is said to be Jana Gana Mana which was earlier narrated to Mahesh and Chiranjeevi. But due to reasons for better known to them, the project didn’t take off.
ON the other side, it was also reported that Puri Jagan wanted to make Jana Gana Mana with KGF star Yash. A source had said, “Puri always wanted to make Jana Gana Mana keeping the pan-India audience in mind. The story is a take on the gruesome murders, rape cases and crimes that shook our nation over the last few years. The director sat twice with Yash to discuss the script in Bengaluru, and the duo will meet again soon for the final narration.” But looks like the opportunity got landed in front of Vijay who without delay grabbed it at the right time.
