After Arjun Reddy, Superstar Mahesh Babu asked director Sandeep Reddy Vanga to come up with a script. Sandeep started working on the script under the supervision of Mahesh’s wife Namrata. He prepared a crime drama and narrated the same to Mahesh. But the actor didn’t like it as it is too dark for him and asked Sandeep to come up with another film.

Later, Sandeep got the offer of remaking Arjun Reddy into Hindi as Kabir Singh. That film became a huge hit in Bollywood and made Sandeep a star. Now, Sandeep narrated the same story to Ranbir Kapoor recently and the actor gave his nod immediately. Apparently, Sandeep named this film as Devil.

Now, Mahesh fans are upset on their favourite actor as he turned down the script which would have featured him in a negatively shaded role. Irrespective of its box office result, the film would have generated a buzz due to the combination of Sandeep and Mahesh. But alas, Mahesh turned down the opportunity and is doing a comedy caper with Anil Ravipudi.
