The recently held Maharshi pre-release event was the cynosure and fodder for many. First Mahesh’s slip-up by forgetting Puri Jagan’s name. Secondly, Mahesh‘s speech where he said, “These days, if there is a slight delay for even two months, directors who have good scripts are running away to other heroes. But I’ve to appreciate Vamshi for keeping his trust in me”.
Many carried out reports that Mahesh took a jibe at Sukumar. However, Mahesh has now opened up about the on-going rumours and clarified about it stating not to take it in any other way. Mahesh revealed the reason as to why he didn’t take up Sukumar’s project and chose ANil Ravipudi’s film. He said, “Sukumar narrated an intense & depth plot while I was looking out for an entertaining one. So, I choose Anil Ravipudi’s script instead of Sukumar and even he was contented with that. I will definitely collaborate with him in the future.”

Meanwhile, Vamsi Paidipally’s Maharshi starring Pooja Hegde, Allai Naresh and Mahesh, who has three shades is scheduled for release on May 9th. Touted to have a social message packed with a commercial entertainer, the film has generated positive buzz.
