Clearing all hurdles, the censor board has passed Superstar Mahesh Babu’s next big budget outing Maharshi on Friday. The movie has been passed with U/A certificate without any cuts. With this, the film is all set for a grand release on May 9. The censor board officials heaped praise on the film’s content.
Sources say laced with high doses of sentiment, action, the second half is said to be the highlight. The climax scene is going to take the film to a new high. Looks like, another blockbuster of Mahesh is in offing. Let’s wait and watch.
Meanwhile, Mahesh Babu during his speech at the Maharshi pre-release event made a gaffe. During his speech, he took out names of K Raghavendra Rao, Krishna Vamsi, Gunasekhar, Sreenu Vaitla and Koratala Siva and thanked them but Mahesh forgot to thank one filmmaker who gave him the biggest hit making him Superstar. Yes, your guess as right as ours. Mahesh forgot to mention Puri Jagan who gave him biggest hit -Pokiri.
Mahesh was quick to realise his mistake and no sooner, he thanked Puri Jagan in a special tweet. “Missed mentioning an important person in my speech today. In my 25 films journey, it was #Pokiri that made me a Superstar. Thank you so much Puri Jagan!!! Thanks for giving me Pokiri, A film that will always be remembered”, tweeted Mahesh.
