Mad Square two weeks box office report

Mad Square, a sequel to the 2023 Telugu hit Mad, released on March 28, 2025. Directed and written by Kalyan Shankar, this comedy-drama was produced by Haarika Suryadevara and S. Naga Vamsi. The film stars Narne Nithiin, Sangeeth Sobhan, Ram Nitin and Priyanka Jawalkar in lead roles.

In its first 12 days, Mad Square earned around ₹46.23 crore in India, according to box office tracker Sacnilk. However, the film’s earnings have started to decline. On its 13th day, it is expected to collect only ₹0.05 crore indicating a slowdown in performance.

The storyline follows Ganesh “Laddu”, who is in jail. When a group of six students visits him, he narrates a series of events involving a broken wedding, a Goa trip, a lost necklace, a gangster, and a hidden mission. These events eventually lead to his arrest.

The film features a talented cast including Ram Nitin as Manoj, Narne Nithiin as Ashok IPS, and Sangeeth Sobhan as Damodhar “DD”. Priyanka Jawalkar plays Laila, and Sunil appears as Maxx. The film includes many cameos and is filled with youthful humor and twists.

While the movie had a strong first week, the collections have dipped in the second week, especially after Day 10. Whether it can recover and cross the ₹50 crore mark will depend on the weekend turnout and word of mouth.
