MAD Square box office collection day 1

MAD Square, the sequel to the hit movie MAD, has created a buzz in Tollywood. Directed by Kalyan Shankar, this youthful comedy-drama was released on March 28, along with Nithiin’s Robinhood. The movie’s advance bookings have surpassed expectations, hinting at a strong opening weekend.

Early reviews suggest that while the film delivers laughs, some comedy sequences feel forced. The first half is more engaging than the second with Vishnu Oi’s character, Laddu, and his father played by Muralidhar Goud, standing out. Despite the lack of a solid storyline, the film manages to entertain.

The plot follows three friends—Damodar (Sangeeth Shobhan), Ashok (Narne Nithiin), and Manoj (Ram Nithin)—who plan a fun trip to Goa for their senior, Laddu, before his wedding. However, their adventure turns into a chaotic series of events leading to unexpected twists.

On its opening day, MAD Square is estimated to collect around ₹3.59 crore in India. The occupancy rate for morning shows was 47.74% rising to 56.61% by afternoon. The film’s digital rights have been acquired by Zee Studios and it will stream on ZEE5 after its theatrical run.

With a cast featuring Priyanka Jawalkar, Raghu Babu and Sathyam Rajesh, MAD Square has been produced under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas. The film’s music is composed by Bheems Ceciroleo, and Thaman has handled the background score.

MAD Square has received a positive initial response making it a strong contender at the box office. Its performance in the coming days will determine its long-term success.
