The comedy entertainer “MAD,” starring Narne Nithin, Sangeeth Shobhan, and Ram Nithin, became a blockbuster success after its theatrical release on October 6th last year. Directed by Kalyan Shankar and produced by Haarika Suryadevara and Sai Soujanya under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, the film brought life to its talented cast.
Following its success, the movie gained even more appreciation and reach upon its OTT debut. Now, fans can anticipate the sequel, “MAD 2,” as its shoot is set to commence in March or April 2024. The sequel might hit the screens on October 6th, 2024, mirroring the release date of its predecessor.
“MAD” revolves around three carefree friends—Manoj (Ram Nithin), Ashok (Narne Nithin), and Damodhar (Sangeeth Shoban)—studying in an engineering college. Engaging in petty fights to pass the time, their lives take unexpected turns when Manoj falls for Shruthi (Gouri Priya), and Jenni (Ananthika) expresses her love for Ashok. Damodhar, initially uninterested in relationships, undergoes a change when Vennela starts calling him daily. The film unfolds the college experiences of these friends in a humorous and entertaining manner.
