బాలీవుడ్‌ దిగ్గజ నటుడు దిలీప్‌కుమార్‌(98) కన్నుమూశారు. గత కొంతకాలం నుంచి శ్వాస సంబంధిత సమస్యలతో ఇబ్బందిపడుతున్న ఆయన చికిత్స నిమిత్తం ఇటీవల ఆస్పత్రిలో చేరారు. ఈ క్రమంలోనే ఈ రోజు బుధవారం తెల్లవారుజామున ఆయన తుదిశ్వాస విడిచారు. దిలీప్‌కుమార్‌ మరణ వార్తతో బాలీవుడ్‌లో విషాదఛాయలు అలుముకున్నాయి.
1922 డిసెంబర్‌ 11న పాక్‌లోని పెషావర్‌లో జన్మించారు. ఆయన అసలు పేరు మహమ్మద్‌ యూసుఫ్‌ ఖాన్‌. అనంతరం నటుడిగా రాణించాలనే ఉద్దేశంతో 1944లో జ్వర్‌ భాతా చిత్రంతో వెండితెరపై ఎంట్రీ ఇచ్చారు. ఎన్నో ఒడుదొడుకులు ఎదుర్కొని భారతదేశం గర్వించదగ్గ నటుల్లో ఒకరిగా గుర్తింపు తెచ్చుకున్నారు. 1955లో ఆజాద్‌, దేవదాస్‌ సినిమాలతో బిగ్గెస్ట్‌ హిట్లను తన ఖాతాలో వేసుకున్నారు. ‘ఆజాద్‌’ ఆ దశాబ్దిలోనే అధిక వసూళ్లు సాధించిన సినిమాగా రికార్డుకెక్కింది. ఆ తర్వాత వచ్చిన పౌరాణిక చిత్రం ‘మొఘల్‌-ఎ-ఆజామ్‌’తో ఆయన ప్రేక్షకులకు ఆయన మరింత చేరువయ్యారు.
ఉత్తమ నటుడిగా ఆయనకు 8 సార్లు ఫిల్మ్‌ఫేర్‌ అవార్డులు, 1993లో ఫిలింఫేర్‌ లైఫ్‌టైమ్‌ అచీవ్‌మెంట్‌ అవార్డు దక్కింది. 1994లో దిలీప్‌కుమార్‌ను దాదాసాహెబ్‌ ఫాల్కే అవార్డు వరించింది. ఈ దిగ్గజ నటుడి సేవలను గుర్తించిన ప్రభుత్వం 1991లో పద్మభూషణ్‌, 2015లో పద్మవిభూషణ్‌ పురస్కారాలతో ఆయనను సన్మానించింది. 2000 – 2006 వరకు రాజ్యసభ సభ్యుడిగానూ దిలీప్‌ కుమార్‌ సేవలందించారు. ఈ వార్త విని సినీ పరిశ్రమ దిగ్భ్రాంతికి గురయ్యింది. ఆయన ఆత్మకు శాంతి చేకూరాలని కోరుతూ ప్రధానితోపాటు పలువురు సినీ తారలు సోషల్‌మీడియా వేదికగా ట్వీట్లు చేశారు.
