The Malayalam film Manjummel Boys which became a big hit in the industry is now facing legal trouble. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has started investigating the producers of the film over a money laundering case. They didn’t respond to the Enforcement Case Information Report (ECIR), so officials are sending them a second notice.
Initially, the production company Parava Films’ founders Soubin Shahir, Babu Shahir, and Shawn Antony received a notice. This action follows a complaint from the film’s investor, Siraj Valiyathara Hameed accusing them of cheating.
Manjummel Boys, a Malayalam movie, impressed audiences this year and did exceptionally well at the box office. However, allegations of cheating from its investors overshadowed the film’s success. He claimed the producers promised him 40% of the movie’s profit in exchange for his investment but didn’t fulfill the agreement.
