Ram Pothineni’s upcoming pan-Indian film, Skanda, directed by Boyapati Srinu, is all set to grace the big screen on September 28th, featuring Sreeleela as his co-star in this action-packed movie.
Initially slated for release yesterday, the filmmakers rescheduled, taking Salaar’s previous release date. However, despite the extended time, promotional efforts for the film have been rather lacklustre.
With just a few days left until the film’s release, the promotional campaign gives the impression that the movie won’t hit theatres for another two or three months. Given its pan-Indian appeal, Skanda may struggle at the box office unless the makers fully grasp the importance of nationwide promotion.
It’s not just Boyapati; Ram Pothineni must also step up and take on a more active role in promoting the film. Without such efforts, Skanda risks being perceived as primarily a Telugu film, which could negatively impact its box office performance.
