Krithi Shetty’s career takes another major setback
Kriti Shetty who made a sensational debut with Uppena, seems to be struggling to maintain her momentum in Tollywood. After a series of unsuccessful films, she hoped her role in the Malayalam movie ARM would bring her career back on track. However, the film has not achieved the success she was hoping for particularly in the Telugu market.
ARM featured a unique storyline where the hero plays three roles across different generations in a period backdrop. While the film garnered some appreciation for its attempt, the direction and content failed to fully capture the audience’s attention. The movie’s collections in the Telugu market clearly indicate it hasn’t resonated with the viewers.
Though the film did receive a decent response in Malayalam, it was not enough to create a major impact. Kriti Shetty had high hopes that a hit in Telugu could give her career a much-needed boost, but unfortunately, that doesn’t seem to be happening.
Moreover, Kriti had placed a lot of faith in her project with Sharwanand, hoping for a solid comeback. However, due to legal issues, the movie hasn’t even made it to OTT platforms, leaving her fans disappointed.
At the same time, she observed how actresses like Rashmika Mandanna and Pooja Hegde continued to receive offers despite setbacks. This further increased her determination to bounce back.
Kriti is currently working on Love Insurance Corporation, a Tamil movie directed by Vignesh Sivan, with Pradeep Ranganadhan as the lead. She is banking on this film, as well as a few others in Kollywood, to turn her fortunes around. However, her presence in the Telugu film industry seems uncertain for now, as there are no significant offers coming her way.

In ARM, actor Tovino Thomas took the spotlight, leaving little room for Kriti to showcase her talent. Had the movie been a blockbuster, her situation might have been different. But for now, her comeback remains a challenge.
