Balayya’s Kathanayakudu has been sold for exorbitant rates. But the film has ended up a disaster like his earlier film Paramaveera Chakra. It could not even get back one-tenth returns. It is clear that the distributor in Nellore will incur 1.5 crore loss. Vizag and Krishna might get up to Rs 7 crore loss. This means most of the buyers would be down in the dumps.
To offset this situation and to salvage Krish’s prestige, the producers have leaked a news that an impressed Balayya has decided to give another Rs 5 crore as a bonus to Krish for his work. The question is why would anyone give a bonus to the director for churning out a flop film? The co-producers like Induri Vishnu and Sai Korrapati have been sidelined and the national media and the media of other languages have largely ignored NTR biopic. The buyers have suffered incredible losses. That being the case, why only the director gets the bonus? What about the buyers and other technicians?
