Silambarasan TR, popularly known as Simbu, has found himself entangled in a legal dispute with leading Tamil film producer Ishari K Ganesh. The conflict arose when Ganesh lodged a complaint against the actor for alleged negligence regarding an advance payment for a project.
The disagreement stems from a planned film titled Corona Kumar, which was set to feature Simbu in the lead role. Ganesh’s production company, Vels Production, had reportedly offered the actor an advance payment for his involvement in the project. However, prior to the commencement of filming, Simbu decided to withdraw from the project for unspecified reasons.
Despite withdrawing from the film, Simbu purportedly failed to return the advance payment to the producer or commit to any alternative projects under Ganesh’s production banner. This led Ganesh to take legal action against the actor, filing a complaint with the Producers Council.
Ganesh’s complaint states that Simbu should not be permitted to engage in any further projects until he either refunds the advance payment or agrees to participate in another project produced by Vels Production. The dispute has drawn attention due to Simbu’s current involvement in other film projects, notably “Thug Life,” alongside veteran actor Kamal Haasan.
More about Thug Life: Thug Life is an upcoming action drama directed by renowned filmmaker Mani Ratnam, featuring Kamal Haasan in the lead role. The film marks a reunion between Ratnam and Haasan after their acclaimed collaboration on the 1987 film “Nayakan.” Alongside Haasan and Simbu, “Thug Life” boasts a talented ensemble cast including Trisha Krishnan, Ashok Selvan, and Abhirami, among others.
Additionally, Thug Life is rumored to showcase Kamal Haasan in a triple role, with acclaimed composer AR Rahman handling the musical score. This collaboration marks Rahman’s third venture with Kamal Haasan in the realm of cinema.
