Kobbari Matta director Sai Rajesh has slammed the website GreatAndhra. In an interview with Frankly With TNR, Sai Rajesh opened his heart out about the trauma he went through due to the false allegation written against him in an article titled – ‘Comedy Director who duped NRIs‘.
For the uninitiated, the article with alluding tone accused Hrudaya Kaleyam director of cheating Mega-producer and duping NRIs by taking money on the pretext of directing a movie. When quizzed about the entire issue in the interview, the director opened up stating how such ‘Gossip Websites’ are ruining the lives of producers and directors by writing fake stuff for mere click baits. The director questions which producer hasn’t borrowed money for a film. “From Suresh Babu to Allu Aravind everyone had borrowed but it wrong to assassinate their character by writing such baseless articles,” says Sai Rajesh.

The vexed up director says that he took up the issue to the camp of mega-producer who asked him not to get bothered by such gossip as they know about such fake websites methodology of work. Sai Rajesh reveals how he had decided to fight against the website by sending legal notice to them. But what left him in shock was that the “so-called” website doesn’t even have an office in Hyderabad making him think where and how to send the notice. He also revealed about the caution he got from industry people by asking him to not take legal action as such a website can write more anti-stuff against him. But what made him stand up on his ground was asking them – Is director-producers life is in the hands of websites? Sai Rajesh had vent out his trauma on social media and approached directors union seeking help.
Review is not a problem but Gossip is: Sai Rajesh
The director Sai Rajesh further adds that writing bad review against his films is not an issue for him. “I respect reviews and if my film does badly then terming it bad or giving poor rating does harm me, but what troubles me is doing a personal attack and doing a character assassination bother me which should be stopped”.
However, here comes the twist, the interviewer asks Sai Rajesh as to why he used a thank card at the beginning of his film. To this, he says that Mr Murthy (GreatAndhra member) helped him by giving good buzz about the film through articles.
