Keerthy Suresh well-loved for her role in Mahanati has faced a mixed bag with her recent projects. After Sarkaru Vari Pata which was a commercial success, her following films including Miss India and Good Luck Sakhi didn’t perform well at the box office. As a result, Keerthy’s solo projects have struggled to make an impact.
Her upcoming film Raghu Thatha produced by KGF’s Hombale Films is set to hit theaters on August 15. Despite the excitement surrounding the film, it will not be released in Telugu. The competition from other major releases such as Double ISmart, Mr. Bachchan, and Tangaalan along with Hindi films like Stree 2 and Khel Khel Mein has made it difficult to secure theater screens in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Given the tough competition introducing Raghu Thatha in Telugu at this time could be risky. The film stars Keerthy Suresh who remains the primary focus for marketing. If Raghu Thatha succeeds in its original version there might be a possibility of a delayed Telugu release. However, without significant buzz or a successful initial run, it remains uncertain if the film will eventually reach Telugu audiences.
Previously, films like Ayalan and Captain Miller also faced similar release challenges during the Sankranthi season. The competition and scheduling issues have prevented many films from achieving parallel releases. For now, the fate of Raghu Thatha in the Telugu market remains to be seen, especially given the strong competition it faces.
