The COVID-19 pandemic has hit the showbiz industry hard. With no work and no shoots for over two months, it will take huge time for the industry to bounce back. Amidst this, actress Keerthy Suresh has come forward by volunteering stating that she would take a pay cut by 20 to 30 % for the project here after she should be signing up. In fact, she has become the first actress down South to announce a slash in her regimentation voluntarily. The move is to help the producers and ease of burden on their shoulders. A source informed, “Keerthy Suresh has expressed her willingness to reduce her remuneration in the post-Corona world. For all the films for which she’s currently discussing, she has decided to reduce her salary by 20 to 30%”.
A few days back, Active Telugu Film Producers’ Guild came out stating that the male lead and directorto the music director and others will have to slash their salary by 25%. Meanwhile, Mahanati actress’ Penguin is all set for OTT release on June 19. Speaking about her film, she said, . “I never thought of such an image to accept this role. In fact, while Eashvar was narrating the script, I started liking it. Without any second thought, I made my decision”.
