Samantha Ruth Prabhu recently shared her thoughts on Sreeleela’s performance in the song Kissik from Pushpa 2: The Rule. The track, starring Sreeleela and Allu Arjun, has sparked comparisons with Samantha’s iconic song Oo Antava from Pushpa: The Rise.
Taking to Instagram, Samantha praised Sreeleela’s performance reposting the song and commenting, “@sreeleela14 Killed it. Keep calm and wait for #Pushpa2 @alluarjunonline”. This response has delighted fans who were eager to see her reaction to the much-anticipated track.
Kissik, composed by Devi Sri Prasad, debuted at a grand launch in Chennai, attended by the film’s stars including Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna and Sreeleela. While some fans are captivated by the vibrant dance number others feel Samantha’s Oo Antava remains unmatched in its appeal and impact.
There were rumors that Samantha might make a guest appearance in the new song alongside Sreeleela and Allu Arjun, but these were unfounded. Interestingly, Bollywood stars like Shraddha Kapoor and Triptii Dimri were initially considered for Kissik, but Sreeleela ultimately secured the role.
Reports suggest that Sreeleela was paid ₹2 crore for her performance, a lower fee than Samantha’s ₹5 crore for Oo Antava. Despite the comparisons, both tracks continue to hold a special place among fans for their unique styles and energy.
Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2: The Rule is set to release on December 5, 2024. The film has been eagerly awaited, with expectations running high after the massive success of its predecessor.
