Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao payed gratitude to medical staff and sanitation workers for the relentless support in fighting against novel COVID-19. Since they are in the frontline and putting up their lives at risk, KCR announced 10 percent incentive on gross salary of the employees of Medical and Health Department, while sanitation worker in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and Hyderabad Metro Water Supply (HMWS) will be paid Rs 7,500 and Rs 5,000 each in municipalities and village panchayats as incentives. “I salute every sanitation worker for keeping every village, town and city clean and thus protecting people from COVID-19,” said KCR.

Meanwhile, other government employees would salaries would be deferred depending on their Grades. The move was taken by KCR to fight the economic crisis owing to the pandemic. Meanwhile, COVID-19 cases have rose to 364 in the state, while there are currently 308 active cases in hospitals. The state has so far reported 11 deaths.
