Kavitha allegedly registers land without land for Rs 14 Crores

In a recent development, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has brought forth startling allegations against Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader K Kavitha. The CBI contends that Kavitha, daughter of former Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao, purportedly engaged in coercive tactics, pressuring Aurobindo Pharma promoter Sharath Chandra Reddy to pay a hefty sum of Rs 25 crore to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for the acquisition of retail zones under the Delhi government’s excise policy.

Furthermore, the CBI asserts that Kavitha allegedly insisted that Reddy enter into a sale agreement for agricultural land in Mahboob Nagar, Telangana, valued at a staggering Rs 14 crore. The twist in the tale lies in the fact that, according to the investigation, this land might not have existed.

The agency contends that Kavitha, leveraging her purported political connections, compelled Reddy to make the payment through Mahira Ventures Private Limited, a company within the Aurobindo Group. The transactions, totaling Rs 14 crore, were purportedly conducted through bank channels – Rs 7 crore each in July 2021 and mid-November 2021.

The CBI further alleges that Kavitha, in November and December 2021, demanded an additional Rs 25 crore from Reddy for the allotted retail zones. When faced with reluctance, the agency claims Kavitha resorted to threats, purportedly warning Reddy of adverse consequences to his business interests in Telangana and Delhi under the excise policy.

These accusations shed light on the murky waters of political maneuvering and alleged malfeasance within the realms of business transactions and land dealings. The purported registration of non-existent land for a substantial sum underscores the gravity of the allegations leveled against Kavitha.

While these allegations remain subject to legal proceedings and further investigation, they serve as a stark reminder of the importance of transparency and accountability in political and business affairs. The ramifications of such actions, if proven true, could have far-reaching implications for those involved and the broader political landscape.
