A source revealed that Karthi’s next film will be directed by Tamizh, who previously assisted the acclaimed director Vetrimaaran. This new project will commence after Karthi completes his current film, “Sardar 2.”
Karthi is known for exploring different genres and collaborating with various directors, showcasing his versatility as an actor. Before he reunites with Lokesh Kanagaraj for “Kaithi 2,” Karthi has an exciting project lined up.
A source revealed that Karthi’s next film will be directed by Tamizh, who previously assisted the acclaimed director Vetrimaaran. This new project will commence after Karthi completes his current film, “Sardar 2.”
The film with Tamizh is expected to start shooting in October 2024 and will be produced by Dream Warrior Pictures. After this project, Karthi will work with Lokesh Kanagaraj on the sequel to “Kaithi,” which will also be produced by the same company.
Currently, Karthi is busy with the shooting of “Sardar 2,” which is set to be filmed in India, Azerbaijan, and Kazakhstan. According to a previous report by Pinkvilla, 40% of the film’s shooting will take place in these international locations, making it the most expensive film in Karthi’s career so far.
The filming of “Sardar 2” is expected to start in July and aims to be released by 2025. Yuvan Shankar Raja is anticipated to compose the music for the film.
Karthi’s Upcoming Projects
Karthi’s next film, “Meiyazhagan,” is directed by C. Prem Kumar and produced by Suriya and Jyothika’s 2D Entertainment. The action drama features Aravind Swamy in a prominent role alongside Karthi. The cast also includes Sri Divya, Rajkiran, Swathi Konde, Devadarshini, Jayaprakash, and others in key roles.
In addition to “Meiyazhagan,” Karthi will star in “Vaa Vaathiyaar,” an action comedy directed by Nalan Kumarasamy, known for his work on “KaKaPo.” The film features Krithi Shetty as the leading lady, with Sathyaraj, Anandaraj, Rajkiran and Karunakaran in significant roles.
