Vijay Deverakonda ‘Fighter’ producer apologizes. Yes, we are speaking about celebrated filmmaker and producer Karan Johar, who has been posting videos titled “Lockdown With The Johars, which shows his kids Roohi and Yash making fun of him and also their funny antics.
However, Karan has now issued apology after a viral video “Thank You Celebrities” doing the rounds has subtly called out celebrities including Ellen DeGeneres and Amanda Byrnes who are treating the lockdown as chill mode and are unseeing the pandemic crisis. The viral video was shared by screenwriter Aniruddha Guha. She wrote, “The only #Covid_19 video that matters, about the only people who matter: Celebrities. #ThankYouCelebrities.”
This hit me hard and I have realised many of my posts may have been insensitive to many…I apologise profusely and wish to add none of it was intentional and came from a place of sharing but clearly may have lacked emotional foresight ….am sorry!🙏❤️ https://t.co/MO3kHkDQdo

However, no sooner Karan found support from netizens who asked him not to tender apology. One of them wrote, ‘Why are you apologizing. Your videos are harmless with your kids. You are bringing joy to people like us and I am a healthcare worker in Chicago saying that. You aren’t one of the celebrities showing off, so please don’t apologize and keep posting and sharing joy.” Check out the support from netizens:

Please don't apologize. Yes there are people in dire straits, but a lil positivity and laughter doesn't hurt anyone. My kids watch your kids and laugh at their innocent banter. Dont feel guilty for being happy. We need more. God bless u and the kiddos
