Mudragada Lambasts Jagan Over Kapu Quota
“His (Jagan) statement has insulted my entire community. What sin did this community commit? Aren’t this community’s members Indian citizens? Doesn’t this community belong to Andhra Pradesh? We didn’t migrate from other countries. Why this discrimination against our community?” Mudragada said.
As part of his Praja Sankalpa Yatra tour, YSRCP chief YS Jagan addressed a public gathering at Jaggampeta in East Godavari district on July 28. Speaking to the gathering, YS Jagan said that he doesn’t want to keep Kapu community believe in the false promise which can’t fulfil, adding that if he comes to power, it is not possible for him to give Kapu reservation. Explaining why can’t fulfil it, Jagan said that the matter pertains to the Centre. However, he would ensure that he would double up the funs from the existing Rs 5000 crore.
“The issue is in the hands of the Centre. There have been instances in which reservation given by states was struck down,” Jagan said. To this, Mudragada said, “You have been making announcements everywhere. Will the state budget be enough for it? I don’t think the even the country’s budget be enough for it. I doubt that even America’s budget won’t be enough.”
