Kannada star hero to play lead role in Prasanth Varma’s Jai Hanuman?
According to recent reports, Rishab Shetty, the acclaimed actor known for his hit film Kantara, is expected to take on the lead role in Prasanth Varma’s much-anticipated sequel, Jai Hanuman. Aakashavaani has suggested that the filmmakers are considering Shetty for this important role. While it has not been officially confirmed, it is believed that Jai Hanuman will be produced by Mythri Movie Makers.
Jai Hanuman is set to be the sequel to HanuMan, a superhero film featuring Teja Sajja, which also served as the beginning of the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU). The original story revolves around Hanumanthu, a young man living with his sister in Anjanadri village. His life changes when he discovers a mystical gem from Hindu mythology that grants him the strength of Lord Hanuman. This newfound power attracts the attention of an aspiring superhero who seeks to exploit it, prompting Hanumanthu to defend his village.

With the original film hinting at a sequel, Rishab Shetty’s involvement would generate significant excitement among fans. In addition to this potential project, Shetty is also busy with Kantara: Chapter 1, which will delve into the folklore of the Panchurli Deiva and the Kadamba kingdom. This prequel to the 2022 blockbuster is expected to feature thrilling action sequences and is currently in production, with Shetty also directing it.
Meanwhile, Prasanth Varma is working on another film in the PVCU titled Adhira. This superhero project will feature Kalyan Dasari in the lead role, marking his acting debut. Varma also has other projects lined up, including Mahakali and a collaboration with Mokshagna Teja.
