Kangana Ranaut‘s Manikarnika has made waves through its trailer. The teaser had heaped praise for Kangana’s fearlessness performance piquing audience curiosity. However, the film has now got embroiled in controversy with Maharashtra’s Karni Sena threatening film release. To this, Kangana known for her not mincing words said, “Four historians have certified Manikarnika, we have got censor certificate as well, Karni Sena has been conveyed this but they are continuing to harass me. If they don’t stop then they should know I am also a Rajput and I will destroy each one of them”.
The film based on Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi cites war against Britishers during the Indian Rebellion of 1857. Apart from, Kangana, it stars Ankita Lokhande, Atul Kulkarni, Suresh Oberoi, Danny Denzongpa and Jisshu Sengupta. The film is all set for release on January 25.
