Tamil Bigg Boss 2 contestant and actor Ponnambalam has been hospitalised in Chennai over kidney-ailment. The video of the actor undergoing treatment came out through his PR. In the video, Ponnambalam narrates about his ordeal and the circumstances which landed him at the hospital. Meanwhile, Kamal Haasan who got to know about the actor’s condition, he extended financial aid to Ponnambalam.
According to reports, Kamal Haasan is calling up Ponnambalam and keep a track on his health on daily basis. The Vishwaroopam actor not only offered help to cover his hospital expenses, but also to take care of the education cost of Ponnambalam’s children. For the unversed, Kamal has acted with Ponnambalam in three films- Vetri Vizha, Apoorva Sagodharargal and Michel Madhana Kama Raja. The two also shared a great camaraderie on the reality sets where they recalled about the for memories of working together.
Ponnambalam began his career as a stuntman, he then gradually forayed into acting making appearances in minor roles. However, it was KS Ravikumar’s 1994-film Naattaamai that pulled him to limelight.
