Amigos Movie Review
Plot
Siddharth(Kalyan Ram) comes to know the concept of Doppelgangers and finds out online that there are two lookalikes of him. Very soon, he meets them in Goa. One of them is Manju, an engineer from Bangalore and the other one is Michael from Kolkatta. Siddharth gets the shock of his life when he lands in huge trouble due to one of his lookalikes. Who is the troublemaker? What problems did he create for Siddharth? and how did Siddharth solve his issue? That forms the rest of the story.
Performances
Kalyan Ram once again chooses a different film where he gets to play three different roles. He shines as Michael aka Bipin and does well as Siddharth. But he overacts for no reason as Manju. But Kalyan Ram is in his best form when he does the negative role. He as the drug lord was menacing in the film. Ashika Ranganath is good but overacts in a few scenes. Brahmaji was good and evoked a few laughs.

Amigos Movie Analysis
Amigos has been directed by Rajendra Reddy and he has chosen the concept of Doppelgangers which sound new for Telugu cinema. The manner in which he takes three lookalikes and presents a story within them was so good to see. But the issue with the film is that it has a slow pace. Once the theme is revealed, the film falls flat and there is no excitement for the audience until the interval bang. The breakpoint twist is amazing and lifts the film until the end.
Once the second half starts, the film starts to find its pace and the twists that come in are decent. The manner in which the director has dealt with a unique point is also very good. He did not let the graph of the film go down. Kalyan Ram holds the attention with his negative role which is the heart of the second half. The makers have also given a hint for the sequel as well.
But the film suffers mainly because of the dull screenplay. The director should have made sure that the screenplay should have been gripping. Upon this, the BGM is pathetic as Ghibran does a bad job. If this part was taken care of, things would have been so good. The climax is also dragged. However, if you love watching films with a different setup, Amigos is for you.
Amigos Movie Bottom Line – A time pass action drama
Rating – 2.75/5
