Kalki 2898 AD OTT: “Kalki 2898 AD,” featuring Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan is set to make its digital debut on Amazon Prime Video starting August 23, 2024. The movie which first hit theaters on May 9, 2024, will be available in various languages including Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.
Directed by Nag Aswin, “Kalki 2898 AD” is a science fiction film that takes inspiration from Hindu mythology. The story is set in a dystopian future, 6000 years after the Mahabharata’s Kurukshetra War. In this world, the city of Kasi is the last remaining stronghold, governed by a tyrannical leader named Supreme Yaskin, who claims to be a god. Amidst the struggle of the common people to survive, the prophecy of the 10th avatar of Lord Vishnu, Kalki, emerges, promising to end the Kali Yuga and restore peace.
The film not only boasts a stellar cast with Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, and Deepika Padukone but also features notable performances by Disha Patani, Rajendra Prasad, and Shobhana, among others. On the Prabhas’ work front, the actor is next set to appear in the lead role for the movie The Raja Saab directed by Maruthi. The movie is touted to be a romantic comedy horror film with the actor donning a fun avatar.
