Kaithi 2: Big star set for a key role

The trend of sequels is growing rapidly in the film industry, and fans eagerly wait for updates on their favorite franchises. One such highly anticipated sequel is Kaithi 2, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The first installment Kaithi (2019) was a huge success starring Karthi in the lead role. Now reports suggest that Kaithi 2 will feature a special role played by legendary actor Kamal Haasan.

Lokesh Kanagaraj has become one of the most sought-after directors in Tamil cinema. He is currently working on Coolie, starring Superstar Rajinikanth. The film is nearly 80% complete and is expected to release in August. Along with Rajinikanth, Coolie features several well-known actors, including Tollywood star Nagarjuna, Sathyaraj and Shruti Haasan.

After completing Coolie, Lokesh Kanagaraj is set to start shooting Kaithi 2. This film is a crucial part of his Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU), which connects multiple movies. Kaithi was the first film in this universe, and it was followed by Vikram starring Kamal Haasan. Now, the buzz is that Kamal Haasan will play an important role in Kaithi 2 linking it further to the LCU.

While there is no official confirmation yet, rumors suggest that Kamal Haasan will appear in a key role in Kaithi 2. His presence could add a new layer to the story and make it even more exciting. Fans are eager to see how Lokesh Kanagaraj plans to connect the Kaithi and Vikram storylines.

Apart from Kaithi 2, Lokesh Kanagaraj is also producing another film, Bench, directed by Bhagyaraj Kannan. This film will star Raghava Lawrence and will also be a part of the LCU. With multiple projects in the pipeline, Lokesh is set to redefine Tamil cinema’s action genre.
