KA collections : Here’s how much Kiran Abbavaram’s film earned in two weeks
The Telugu period thriller KA, starring Kiran Abbavaram, Nayan Sarika, and Tanvi Ram, was released on October 31, 2024. Directed by Sujith and Sandeep, the film garnered attention with its intriguing plot set in 1979. However, after a solid first week, the movie’s box office performance has slowed down significantly in its second week.
According to box office tracker Sacnilk, KA earned ₹24.35 crore in its first 13 days. It made ₹0.05 crore on day 14, bringing the total to ₹24.40 crore.
The film had a promising first weekend with earnings of ₹3.5 crore on day one, followed by ₹3 crore on day two, and ₹3.6 crore on day three. The first week wrapped up with a total of ₹18.95 crore. However, from day eight onward, earnings dropped below ₹1 crore daily.
KA tells the story of Abhinaya Vasudev, a postman from the village of Krishnagiri, who finds himself in danger after receiving a mysterious letter in 1979. This leads him into a tangled web involving a masked man and his gang.
The film’s strong cast, including Achyuth Kumar, Redin Kingsley, and Sharanya Pradeep, along with cinematography by Viswas Daniel and Sateesh Reddy Masam, contributed to its initial success. However, as it enters the third week, the film is struggling to maintain momentum at the box office.
