Jyothika’s Favourite Hero: Actress Jyotika shared her admiration for Akshay Kumar wishing him success for his new film Sarfira which released on July 12. She posted a heartfelt message and a picture with Akshay highlighting his importance in her life.
‘Sarfira’ is the Bollywood adaptation of the 2020 Tamil hit Soorarai Pottru directed by Sudha Kongara. The film stars Akshay Kumar and Radhika Madan with Suriya, the original lead in the Tamil version making a cameo appearance. This project is the first Hindi film produced by Suriya and Jyotika’s company, 2D Entertainment.
Jyotika expressed her excitement about this project, seeing it as a milestone in both her and Akshay Kumar’s careers with ‘Sarfira’ marking Akshay’s 150th film. She reminisced about her teenage years, revealing that she had a poster of Akshay in her bedroom and now feels proud to be producing his milestone movie.
On Instagram Jyotika wrote “Best wishes @akshaykumar for the most deserving success and a heart touching performance.” She further added, “From a fangirl with a poster of yours in her bedroom to becoming a producer of your special 150th film… truly a moment etched in time for me.”
Suriya a Tamil superstar and Jyotika’s husband also congratulated Akshay. He thanked Akshay for choosing ‘Sarfira’ as his 150th project, sharing a post with the film’s director Sudha Kongara, retired Indian Army captain GR Gopinath, and other cast members. Suriya wrote, “Sarfira will always be an important film for all of us! @akshaykumar Sir, thank you for choosing Sarfira as your 150th film & you’ve made Veer come alive so beautifully.”
He also praised Radhika Madan and Paresh Rawal for their performances, saying, “@sudha_kongara you’ve lived this dream for so many years, happy our film is in theatres now #radikamadan is superb as Rani. @pareshrawalofficial is just brilliant.” Suriya ended his post by wishing the entire ‘Sarfira’ team great success.
