Sources indicate that Jr.NTR is enthusiastic about the storyline proposed by Shouryuv and has encouraged him to develop it into a complete screenplay. “While Jr.NTR will be busy filming for ‘War 2,’ ‘Devara 2,’ and ‘Dragon’ until the end of 2025, he plans to start shooting for Shouryuv’s untitled film in early 2026 if everything goes smoothly. This film is envisioned as a high-energy action drama and will be released in two parts,” shared a source close to the project. Unlike many movies that split into multiple parts during production, this film is specifically designed as a two-part series.
The first installment is scheduled for release in 2028, with the second part following in 2031. “This isn’t just another typical action drama. It’s an ambitious project that needs six hours of storytelling to fully develop the character arc. The film will leverage NTR Jr.’s strengths in dramatic performances, and he is keen to see how Shouryuv brings out the intense confrontations and powerful dialogues,” the source added.
Although Shouryuv has only directed one film so far, NTR Jr. has great confidence in his abilities. “NTR Jr. often champions young talent and values strong scripts. Shouryuv is now expanding his initial idea into a full-length screenplay, aiming to create a story that matches NTR Jr.’s star power. The actor is awaiting a final narration before officially signing on,” the source concluded.
Besides this project with Shouryuv, NTR Jr. is reviewing scripts from various film industries, including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi. He is open to working across different languages, reflecting his versatile approach to acting. Although there has been a noticeable gap between the releases of “RRR” and “Devara,” NTR Jr. is committed to ensuring a steady stream of movies in the future, so his fans won’t have to wait long for his next big-screen appearance.
