Jr NTR condemns minister’s remarks linking KTR to Samantha and Naga Chaitanya’s divorce
Telugu actor Jr NTR strongly criticized Telangana minister Konda Surekha for her unfounded claims about Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader KT Rama Rao (KTR) being involved in the divorce of Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya. He emphasized that dragging personal matters into political discussions is inappropriate and disheartening.
On Thursday, Jr NTR posted on X (formerly Twitter), saying, “Konda Surekha garu, dragging personal lives into politics is a new low. Public figures, especially those in responsible positions like you, must maintain dignity and respect for privacy.” He added that the film industry should not be unfairly targeted, and it is crucial to maintain respect for personal boundaries.

The controversy began when Surekha, a state Congress minister, alleged that KTR was responsible for Samantha and Naga Chaitanya’s separation. Surekha also accused the BRS party of pressuring other female actresses in the Telugu industry to leave their careers early and get married.
Samantha responded to the remarks by asking the minister to stop making baseless claims about her personal life. She clarified that her divorce was a mutual decision and requested that her name not be used for political purposes.
KTR, in response, issued a legal notice to the minister, threatening legal action unless she issued a public apology within 24 hours. He firmly denied any involvement in the personal matters of the couple and labeled the allegations defamatory.
