John Abraham has replaced Aamir Khan to the sequel of 1999 blockbuster film Safarosh. Excited John says, “We are still working on the script but yes it’s happening with me. We plan to go on floors next year. He is probably the only director whose house I went to after seeing ‘Sarfarosh’ and said ‘Man what a film’.

“I’m in fact very excited. I love Aamir Khan, I’m his big fan. It’s a challenge but it’s a different character, different story but the ethos is the same. It’s going to be very exciting,” he adds. The original film starred Aamir, Naseeruddin Shah, and Sonali Bendre which was critically acclaimed film and went on to bag National Film Award for Best Popular Film.
Meanwhile, John has a slew of films lined up starting from Satyameva Jayate releasing on August 15, includes Batla House, and RAW: Romeo Akbar Walter. Recently, Satyameva Jayate got entangled in a row. The Hyderabad police registered a case against Satyamev Jayate for hurting the religious sentiments of Shia community. The film stars John Abraham and Manoj Bajpayee.
