A cinematic luminary with an impressive repertoire spanning over 300 films, Jayasudha, graced the political realm today as she embraced the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The momentous occasion unfolded in New Delhi, where Union Minister and Telangana BJP president, G Kishan Reddy, extended a warm welcome to her within the party’s fold.
In her declaration, Jayasudha vocalized her commitment to contribute towards the growth and fortification of the BJP’s presence in Telangana. Beyond party affiliations, she pledged to champion the welfare of her Christian community, standing as a steadfast advocate for their interests and prosperity.
Jayasudha’s journey extends beyond the realm of cinema and politics, as she was also a former Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA). Her political sojourn commenced in 2009 and endured until 2014 when she represented the Secunderabad constituency under the Congress banner.
Over time, her political path led her through associations with the Telugu Desam and YSR Congress parties. Presently, she embarks on a new chapter as a BJP member.
