Janhvi Kapoor, popular face in Bollywood, is all set to make her mark in the Telugu film industry with her upcoming debut in Devara alongside Jr NTR. Adding another feather to her cap, she’s set to collaborate with Tamil star Suriya in a Hindi film directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, a milestone celebrated by her father Boney Kapoor.
Expressing pride in Janhvi’s diverse roles, Boney Kapoor shared,”My daughter has already completed shooting for a film with Jr NTR and is thoroughly enjoying her time on set. Soon, she will commence filming with Ram Charan as well. Watching a plethora of Telugu films has left her feeling blessed to collaborate with these talented actors. In the near future, she will also share the screen with Suriya. As my late wife, Sridevi, acted in multiple languages, I hope my daughter follows suit.”
The Suriya-starrer is touted to revolves around the Mahabharata character Karna and promises to be an opulent two-part production. Suriya, who shifted to Mumbai, has been actively involved in Hindi cinema, with the film gaining significant attention. The shooting for Karna is scheduled to begin in late 2024, contributing to the vibrant cinematic landscape.
Janhvi Kapoor’s upcoming projects also include Devara with Jr NTR, featuring Saif Ali Khan as the antagonist. The movie, delayed by eight months, is set for an October release. In addition to her Telugu ventures, Janhvi will be seen in Hindi films such as Mr and Mrs Mah and Ulajh.
