Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee president, Y S Sharmila’s son, Y S Raja Reddy, is all set to tie the knot with Atluri Priya in a grand wedding ceremony at Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, Rajasthan.
The pictures from the wedding vacation showcase the bride and groom in white traditional outfits, while Sharmila and her husband don yellow attire. Sharmila’s mother, Vijayamma, is also pictured with the family members.
Notably, the absence of Sharmila’s brother and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, along with his wife, Bharati Reddy, caught everyone’s attention. Jagan was reportedly preoccupied with the third meeting of his party’s mega public rally, “Siddham,” scheduled in Kurnool the following day.
Despite Sharmila extending an invitation during her visit to Jagan’s Tadepalli residence, he did not attend the ceremony. Jagan did participate in Raja Reddy’s engagement ceremony in Hyderabad, but his brief appearance seemed uncomfortable. He left shortly after interacting briefly with sister Sharmila.
The reason for Jagan’s absence becomes apparent when considering Sharmila’s recent role as the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee president. She has been launching aggressive attacks on her brother, criticizing his government, policies, and incidents of violence against Dalits and OBCs. While Jagan has made critical remarks against the Congress, he has not personally targeted Sharmila. Nevertheless, his party leaders and social media activists have been relentless in attacking her and her party with harsh language.
