Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has started a new trend in administration. Wherever necessary, he is drawing talent from Telangana. This is very much unlike KCR, who is chiefly employing only those who are from Telangana region and have a history of taking part in the Telangana movement. But, Jagan is drawing people from Telangana and is appointing them for key posts.
Soon after forming the government, he requested KCR to spare senior cop Stephen Ravindra for him. He is now taking care of the intelligence wing of the state. Similarly, senior IAS officers like Srilakshmi too is planning to shift to AP despite being from the Telangana cadre. The latest such appointment is that of senior journalist Amar Devulapalli. Amar, who is from Karimnagar, has now been appointed as the national media advisor for Chief Minister YS Jagan He would be in this position as long as Jagan is the chief minister.
Amar, who is associated with the Indian Journalists Union, is well connected with the journalistic community across the country. His association with Delhi-based IJU had helped Jagan to counter Chandrababu Naidu’s publicity blitzkrieg at the national level.
