Jagan faces criticism for lack of presence in Andhra Pradesh
YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, has been conducting review meetings with YSR Congress party leaders on a regular basis. These meetings are held at the district level, and Jagan’s primary goal is to boost the confidence of his party leaders. He aims to prepare them for a potential comeback in the 2029 elections. However, during these meetings, Jagan has also expressed his dissatisfaction with some leaders. He has criticized them for not being active in their constituencies and failing to address local issues effectively.
Jagan’s concern is that many party leaders seem to have distanced themselves from the public after the elections. Instead of focusing on the constituencies, they have turned their attention towards their personal businesses. Some leaders reportedly feel that taking a break for two years would help them avoid legal cases and other complications. But Jagan strongly disagrees with this approach. He believes that the party leaders should be more proactive and immediately engage with the people.
Interestingly, there has been criticism directed towards Jagan himself. Some party members have questioned his frequent trips to Bengaluru and his lack of presence in Andhra Pradesh. They point out that while he advises them to stay close to the people, he himself spends very little time in the state. After the review meetings, Jagan has often flown back to Bengaluru, raising eyebrows among the leaders.

Despite his promises to the people, such as initiating the Praja Darbar in Tadepalli, Jagan’s absence has been noted. His plans to start connecting with the public directly through this initiative have not yet materialized. Moreover, there are rumors that Jagan might be planning a trip to London soon, once his passport is ready.
This disconnect between Jagan’s words and actions has sparked frustration among his own party members.
