Director Vikram Kumar has announced his next with Naga Chaitanya as ‘Thank You’. Bankrolled by Dil Raju under his banner Sri Venkateswara Creations, the film will have plot revolved around two characters. While, Vikram didn’t divulge anymore details about the plot but called it a family, light-hearted entertainer. Vikram had earlier worked with Naga Chaitanya for Manam, which had all the three generation for Akkineni’s and stood as a blockbuster hit. Interestingly, Chaitanya’s debut film Josh was produced by Dil Raju as well.
Speaking about their collaboration, Vikram said that he is thrilled and was waiting for a long time to team-up with Chay and Dil Raju. While the pre-production is under process, the team is likely to go for shoot once the pandemic subsides. The shoot is likely to start in Hyderabad.
Meanwhile, Vikram last directorial was Gang Leader starring Nani, Kartikeya Gummakonda, Lakshmi, Saranya Poonvanan, and Priyanka Arul Mohan. The film released in 2019 got mixed response and managed to earn Rs 20 crores at the box office. While, Naga Chaitanya last release was KS Ravindra’s Venky Mama. Starring Venkatesh Daggubati, Naga Chaitanya, Raashi Khanna, and Priya Rajput the film too managed to earn good moolah although didn’t receive positive reviews. The film had earned Rs 72 crores at the box office. On the work front, Naga Chaitanya is awaiting release of Shekhar Kammula’s Love Story.
