Megastar Chiranjeevi might have slipped his mind when he mocked at Telugu film websites which gave poor ratings to his film ‘Waltair Veerayya’. This happened when he connected with Telugu NRIs over zoom call last night.
Chiranjeevi has reportedly mocked a few fringe websites that gave critically poor rating to his film following its release during the Sankranthi festival. Some of them have given a rating as low as 2 and 2.5. He took the satirical jab at some websites and said 2.25 is not a rating but websites predicted that the film would collect US$ 2.25 million in revenue in the USA.
Now netizens wonder how both are related. If critics give a rating of 2, it doesn’t mean that the film would not do well. Twitterati is abuzz with activity about how ‘Waltair Veerayya’ is doing at the box office.
The film already crossed Rs 100 crore and became the third film in Chiranjeev’s film career, surpassing the milestone after ‘Khaidi No.150’ and ‘Sye Raa’. Starring Duniya Vijay and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in the negative roles, the film boasts stars like Ravi Teja, Duniya Vijay, and Honey Rose among other actors in key roles.
